An amazing day at the ITC International Forum on Women in Business ahead of the 10th WTO Ministerial Conference in Nairobi.
It was great to see representatives of the private sector, government and inter-governmental organisations getting together to have frank discussions about the limitations and opportunities for women in business across Africa.
Issues of scalability and sustainability that we face as a business every day were a big part of the panel discussions. Kenyan Juliana Rotich, co-founder of open source mapping platform Ushaidi, was up there talking about how she overcame these barriers to take her product to the world.
The SheTrades app, designed to connect one million women in business with new markets by 2020 was also launched. Sign up here on google play store to find out how you can benefit if you have a female run business.
